• You can sue for up to $7,500 if an individual ("natural person") is the one suing

• Business-entities can only sue up to $5,000

• Fee schedules in the state of California have increased for Small Claims filings.

• The courts have made new laws making the filing process MUCH more difficult!

FEES

• Our FEE depends on what amount you want to recover from the other party, between $1.00 and the new limit, $7,500 Our FEE which includes the Court's Filing Fee Cost in any of the (3) three San Fernando Valley Courts is either $165 ($1.00 to $1,500.00) or $205 [$1,501.00 to $5,000] or $240 {$5,001 to $7,500}

• BE ADVISED--ONLY a “natural person” is allowed to file/sue for over the $5,000 amount (in other words, a corporation-type entity is NOT allowed to file/sue over the $5,000 amount.  However, a corporation-type entity CAN BE SUED by a natural person up to $7,500).

• ADD $30 for each additional DEFENDANT to be served at the same address AND at the same time.

• If the Court is in a different area our fee is slightly higher.

• If the Defendant to be served is beyond our Local Area, our fee is slightly higher.

• You are entitled by law to get back, as part of your Judgment, everything you pay us.
